FlightStack: Safe Landing Advisory

Runway incursions remain one of the most serious operational hazards in aviation.

Even after an aircraft is cleared to land, unexpected runway traffic, such as aircraft, vehicles, or ground equipment, can create dangerous conflicts during approach and landing.

FlightStack independently monitors runway occupancy using onboard vision systems while simultaneously maintaining awareness of ATC communications and operational clearances in real time.

In this demonstration, FlightStack detects traffic occupying the runway after landing clearance has already been issued. The system highlights the hazard and provides immediate operational awareness to the pilot, supporting rapid decision-making during a critical phase of flight.

The pilot remains in command. FlightStack provides an additional operational layer of monitoring, awareness, and advisory capability designed to reduce workload and improve safety margins during runway operations.
